Japan - Day 9

Are you getting as tired of this trip as I am?  Sorry for all the pics but, I it is tough to leave pictures out when the scenery was so magnificent.  On the 9th day we headed to the Mt Fuji region.  We knew we couldn't hike it with Chloe's foot messed up but we thought we would kick around the towns below and boy was the scenery beautiful.  The drive there and back was a nightmare but what can you do?  Remind me never to drive in Japan again.  While they had so many awesome things about their country their road signage was ridiculous, if they liked a number they just used it for multiple roads in the same region.  So knowing you needed to be on Rte 2 was almost useless since there were three of them and they didn't go to the same place.  Back to Fuji, it was phenomenal and we had a great day hiking around.  We had to carry Chloe and it ended up that she didn't like the pack very much it cut off circulation to her leg and that wasn't going to work so we ditched that and went with the stroller and carrying her.

Doug and Chloe along the lake, it was gorgeous.

We took out a Swan Shaped Paddle Boat.  It was actually quite fun.

Picture from the lake while we were out and about

I thought this shot was neat because it showed the shrines along the lake (can you see the red gate to the shrine on the far edge?)
