Singing and Sliding

Chloe was cracking me up. I was in the other room doing something and next thing I hear is Chloe jamming out to Old McDonald and her ABC's. I

had to get a few videos. Enjoy.

I am having the worst time with this editor today. Ok so the last sentence is split and I can't move it, sorry. Below is what happens when it gets hot in TX and you have a perfectly good Bouncy House. :).

Pensacola - 2010

Chloe and I went to visit the Brachers in Pensacola in May.  We had a great time.  Chloe just adored the beach and the pool.  She had the best time.  I lucked out to get a ton of pictures of Chloe and I because Mrs. B loves taking pictures.  Wooo hooo.  I will let the pictures do most of the talking, :).  Ok can't get the text to move, it was at the top.  The above pictures are all of the beach.  Below: The pool.

Mrs B. Has been working on some pottery.  She is actually quite the artist, her dishes are now in local stores.  On Sunday she and her friend Theresa showed Chloe how to make some pottery.  Chloe had a great time.

And just when you thought it was impossible for us to pack in any more fun: We went to the park.

Projects

Some pictures from May.  Chloe and I were outside playing and we decided she would tell me a story and I would draw it for her.  Her story began with a train. Then there was a birthday cake. Then the train ate the birthday cake and turned into a Cake Train.  I thought it was pretty cool she could make all of that up.  Her imagination is growing by leaps and bounds these days.  We have all sorts of pretend scenarios.

I don't know how I come up with stuff sometimes but, alas one rainy day I decided it was a "great" idea to make paper mache figures.  We blew up a balloon and covered it with strips of paper and while we were working on that Doug made a dog/horse (some sort of creature) out of coat hangers and we covered that as well.  Here you can see Chloe painting her creature.  I think this project might have gone more smoothly if Chloe were older.  Although she has enjoyed painting her projects.  So maybe it was a good idea, hummmmmm.

Chloe in Boston

Chloe and I arrived in Boston on Thursday before the marathon.  Joey and Nga were able to meet us.  So we had a few days exploring the city before the race and we had a great time.  Here is Chloe with her Uncle Joey and Aunt Nga on the first day we all arrived.  I believe this is in the far side of Boston Commons.

Above: Chloe and Nga checking out Harvard.  On the right: Chloe strolling down the streets of Boston with her Aunt and Uncle.
Joey is showing Chloe what a footer is and explaining its function in construction.  I am not joking :).
Doug was able to meet us early on Saturday.  The picture above and on the left is of Chloe and Doug running through Boston Common.
On Sunday before the race we took Chloe to the Boston Childrens Museum.  It was beyond amazing.  I highly recommend taking your child there if you are ever in Boston.  I didn't get many pictures with Grandma Joyce and Chloe but she arrived on Saturday as well and was there for the whole weekend.  It was a great time.  Oh and I should say this was a table of shapes where they had sheets of papers that were covered in various shapes that fit together perfectly to fill the rectangle.  Chloe sat down and filled that entire sheet correctly and quickly.  She really is amazing at spacial activities.
On Race day Nana took care of Chloe.  They hung out literally all day.  Nana even made Chloe a t-shirt that had my race number on it.

Dancing Queen

I wanted to post a few movies of Chloe dancing and playing with Doug. Anyone who has spent time at our house knows a whole lot of dancing goes on each day. Chloe just loves to cut a rug.

Easter 2010

This is Chloe on Easter morning. I am trying to post a video as well. She never did figure out that the bunny was made of chocolate, it is still sitting there. She had a great time finding the eggs. At first she thought they were just all maracas and she was super happy with that but, then one of us told her they opened and she was over the moon to find candy in them. The Easter Bunny dropped off a Marble Works set for her.
Chloe and I had a great time dyeing the eggs. We colored them with crayons, we dyed them and she of course needed to add a little pizazz to them with stickers.

Below: Chloe on Easter morning.

Chloe hunting eggs.

Easter Egg Hunt

Chloe had a busy Easter Season. That is right, called it a season, when it goes on for more than one week, think it can be called a season. She had a few Egg Hunts and Easter itself came early so that Doug could be there. This post includes pictures of Chloe at the PTA Easter Egg Hunt. She got to meet the Easter Bunny at this event and has been asking to go hang out with him again ever since. It was a horrible day weather wise but that didn't stop the kids from having a great time.
Here is she is in the middle of hunt and I think she is shocked that there are eggs everywhere. As soon as she was picking one up she would look around see another and she was off.

She got to play at the park before and after the Egg Hunt. I think she looks so dang cute in this picture. She loved her Easter dress, she asked to wear it the day it arrived and asked to sleep in it both times she wore it. The girl loves her outfits.
